Ingredients:

  • 1 cup (150g) baby carrots, peeled
  • 1 cup (160g) cucumber slices, crisp
  • 1 cup (150g) red grapes, seedless
  • 1 cup (140g) apple slices, tart
  • 1 cup (150g) blueberries, plump
  • 4 oz (113g) sharp cheddar cheese, cubed
  • 4 oz (113g) mozzarella string cheese, halved
  • 1/2 cup (125g) hummus, classic or roasted red pepper
  • 1/4 cup (35g) raw almonds or walnut halves
  • 1 cup (30g) whole grain crackers, seeded
  • 1/2 cup (60g) pretzel twists, salted

Instructions:

  1. Place small bowls (ramekins) on the platter first, positioning the hummus in the center and the nuts toward one edge to act as anchors.
  2. Arrange the baby carrots and cucumber slices in sweeping curves radiating from the hummus bowl.
  3. Nestle the grapes, blueberries, and apple slices in the remaining open gaps, placing high-contrast colors (like blueberries and carrots) next to each other.
  4. Tuck the cheddar cubes and halved string cheese into the smaller crevices between the produce.
  5. Fill any remaining small holes with whole grain crackers and pretzel twists until the board looks lush and full.
