Ingredients:

  • 2 large ripe peaches (approx. 1 lb), pitted and sliced into wedges
  • 1 tsp melted unsalted butter
  • 1/2 tsp ground cinnamon
  • 1 pinch ground nutmeg

Instructions:

  1. Wash the peaches thoroughly and peel the skin if it feels tough to ensure safety for early BLW.
  2. Slice each peach into wedges approximately 1/2 inch thick and 2-3 inches long to facilitate a palmar grasp.
  3. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C) and line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
  4. In a small bowl, toss the peach wedges with melted butter, ground cinnamon, and ground nutmeg until lightly coated.
  5. Spread the wedges in a single layer on the baking sheet and roast for 15-20 minutes until they appear soft and slumped.
  6. Remove from the oven and let cool for 5-10 minutes.
  7. Perform the squish test by pressing a wedge between your thumb and forefinger; it should mash easily with very little pressure.
