Ingredients:

  • 4 salmon fillets, 6 oz (170g) each
  • 1/2 tsp (3g) sea salt
  • 1/4 tsp (1g) cracked black pepper
  • 1/2 cup (50g) grated Parmesan cheese
  • 3 tbsp (45ml) fresh basil, finely chopped
  • 2 tbsp (30ml) extra virgin olive oil
  • 1 tbsp (15ml) fresh lemon juice
  • 2 cloves (6g) garlic, minced
  • 1/4 tsp (1g) garlic powder

Instructions:

  1. Pat the salmon fillets completely dry with paper towels to ensure a crisp crust. Season lightly with sea salt and cracked black pepper on all sides.
  2. In a small bowl, stir together the parmesan cheese, chopped basil, olive oil, lemon juice, minced garlic, and garlic powder until a thick paste forms.
  3. Generously spread the parmesan basil mixture over the top of each fillet, pressing down firmly to adhere the crust.
  4. Place the fillets in the air fryer basket, using parchment paper if desired. Cook at 400°F (200°C) for 8–12 minutes until the crust is golden-brown.
  5. Remove the salmon when the internal temperature reaches 135°F (57°C). Let the fillets rest on a plate for 5 minutes to reach a final internal temperature of 145°F (63°C).
