Ingredients:
- 3 cans (approx. 14.5 oz each) whole green beans, drained
- 0.5 lb bacon, cooked until crispy and chopped into 1/2-inch pieces
- 0.5 cup unsalted butter, melted
- 0.5 cup light brown sugar, packed
- 1 tablespoon low-sodium soy sauce
- 0.5 teaspoon garlic powder
- 0.5 teaspoon onion powder
- 0.25 teaspoon cracked black pepper
Instructions:
- Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C). Thoroughly drain the green beans in a colander and pat dry with paper towels to ensure the sauce adheres.
- Spread the drained green beans evenly into the bottom of a 9x13 inch baking dish and scatter the pre-cooked crispy bacon bits over the top.
- In a small mixing bowl, whisk together the melted butter, brown sugar, soy sauce, garlic powder, onion powder, and black pepper until the sugar is mostly dissolved and the mixture is emulsified.
- Pour the glaze evenly over the green beans and bacon. Do not stir yet; let the sauce seep through the layers.
- Bake in the center rack for 20–25 minutes. At the 15-minute mark, gently toss the beans to ensure every pod is coated in the bubbling glaze.
