Ingredients:

  • 3 cans (approx. 14.5 oz each) whole green beans, drained
  • 0.5 lb bacon, cooked until crispy and chopped into 1/2-inch pieces
  • 0.5 cup unsalted butter, melted
  • 0.5 cup light brown sugar, packed
  • 1 tablespoon low-sodium soy sauce
  • 0.5 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 0.5 teaspoon onion powder
  • 0.25 teaspoon cracked black pepper

Instructions:

  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C). Thoroughly drain the green beans in a colander and pat dry with paper towels to ensure the sauce adheres.
  2. Spread the drained green beans evenly into the bottom of a 9x13 inch baking dish and scatter the pre-cooked crispy bacon bits over the top.
  3. In a small mixing bowl, whisk together the melted butter, brown sugar, soy sauce, garlic powder, onion powder, and black pepper until the sugar is mostly dissolved and the mixture is emulsified.
  4. Pour the glaze evenly over the green beans and bacon. Do not stir yet; let the sauce seep through the layers.
  5. Bake in the center rack for 20–25 minutes. At the 15-minute mark, gently toss the beans to ensure every pod is coated in the bubbling glaze.
