Ingredients:
- 6 medium fresh peaches, halved and pitted (approx. 3 lbs / 1.36 kg)
- 1/4 cup (85g) honey
- 2 tbsp (28g) unsalted butter, melted
- 1 tsp (2g) ground cinnamon
- 1/4 tsp (1.5g) sea salt
- 1/4 cup (30g) sliced almonds, toasted
Instructions:
- Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C).
- Slice the peaches in half, remove the pits, and place them cut-side up in a 9x13 inch baking dish.
- In a small bowl, whisk together the melted butter, honey, cinnamon, and salt until the mixture is a smooth, uniform amber liquid.
- Use a pastry brush to coat the cut surface of each peach generously with the glaze.
- Bake uncovered for 25–35 minutes until the honey is bubbling and the peach flesh looks translucent and mahogany-colored.
- Remove from the oven and immediately sprinkle the toasted almonds over the hot glaze.
- Let the peaches rest for 5 minutes to allow the syrup to thicken before serving.
